Educational Opportunities
The GCNKAA Education department promotes industry professionalism through programs designed for all apartment personnel. Designation programs demand intensive training and cover all aspects of rental property management. Over the years, the GCNKAA has trained hundreds of individuals in the rental housing industry.
We also offer several other educational seminars throughout the year that provide information on everything from leasing and marketing to fair housing. These seminars allow for Real Estate Credits and Continuing Education Credits for NAA Designations. Speakers range from national speakers to local specialists to governmental officials. The National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI) and The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) join forces to enhance fair housing education among rental housing providers.
NAAEI and IREM have partnered to develop this coursework and education initiative. NAAEI represents the education and career development division of NAA, while IREM serves as a professional association for managers of Income-producing properties worldwide. The "Fair Housing and Beyond" seminar can be taken as a classroom-delivered course (4.5 hours) offered at a local apartment assocation or in the new online format (self paced).
