Don’t miss YOUR opportunity to meet the decision makers in property management companies. Similar to Speed Dating, this Business Exchange on Thursday, August 20, 2020, allows you to present YOUR products and services to local multifamily executives in timed, personal meetings as you network from table to table.
This year, the GCNKAA will be hosting this event via Zoom and break out rooms. As this will be a zoom event, we will be hosting several different breakout rooms for our meetings. Each individual representative from our participating property owners and management companies will have their own individual breakout room for one-on-one personal meetings with associate members.
As an associate member, you will be able to rank the top 10 individuals with whom you would like to meet. GCNKAA staff will make their best effort to accommodate as many of your requests as possible. Depending on the number of representatives as well as the number of registrations from our associate members, meetings will range for roughly four minutes each. This may change as we near the event date. The schedule of meetings will be based on first come first serve. When you are not in a break-out room meeting with a potential or current customer, we will have a zoom lobby open for networking and raffle items.
We are working on a tutorial with tips and techniques for you to get the most out of this event. This will be sent our prior to the event as well as included in the event booklet.
Also, as an associate member, you will also be featured in the event booklet, emailed to all participants prior to the zoom event. You may send either a full color half-page ad (7.5" wide by 4.8" tall press-quality pdf) or provide a brief description of your company and the products or services you provide. This ad or paragraph(s) is due by August 7, 2020. If GCNKAA does not receive any information from your company for your listing, we will simply add your contact information.
We will once again be hosting a silent auction for more time with our primary decision makers. Due to COVID19, the packages may include either a lunch or a zoom meeting or a different event of choice for the primary member. We will include information on each package as we confirm them. The silent auction portion of the Business Exchange this year will last from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Winners will be announced at 11:00 am. We will be happy to invoice for this if you so wish. Watch for more information on the silent auction package details as we confirm them.
As a primary member, this is you chance to meet with as many vendors as possible in one place in 3-to-5 minute increments. The only investment we ask is your time and to donate one or two $25 gift cards of your choice for the door prize drawings. The Business Exchange is a way to take care of multiple vendor meetings at one time. This is an excellent opportunity to gather the latest price and product information with a personal touch. We respectfully request that owner/management attendees be senior executives who have the authority to make purchasing decisions. To increase the opportunities for our vendor members this year, if you have different individuals overseeing different divisions within your management company (ie Director of Maintenance, Director of Marketing, Director of Operations, etc.), please encourage them all to participate this year. This will allow participating vendor companies to select to meet with the property management individual with whom they most likely do direct business.

Due to its popularity, returning this year, GCNKAA will be providing all associate members attending this event with a program listing the management company information. This form will be sent to you to complete after you agree to participate this year. Please email a team photo or headshots of individuals attending the Business Exchange on your behalf so that we may include them in the event program. As this will be a zoom event, we will be hosting several different breakout rooms for our meetings. Each individual representative from your company will have their own individual breakout room (we will control the rooms via the GCNKAA zoom account; each representative will be in their own breakout room and GCNKAA staff will monitor people accessing your room according to our schedule.) Therefore, if you have five representatives from your company attending, we will have 5 break out rooms for your company. Please note, however, that the GCNKAA staff will be doing a schedule in advance that will include which associate member will be visiting which room and at what time. To ensure the success of this schedule, we strongly encourage those who commit to make their best efforts to attend. We do understand that emergencies do happen, so if you commit and have to attend to an emergency, please notify firstname.lastname@example.org soon as possible to ensure we can edit the schedule as best as possible. We will also be scheduling two 5-minute breaks throughout the event for our primary members.

HOW IT WORKS
During this virtual Business Exchange, you will be able to meet one-on-one with management companies during 4-minute+ intervals. This virutal setting will allow you to share your screen and send promotional material through private chat during each meeting.
Unsure about technology? We will provide a Tips and Tricks tutorial prior to the event to help you familiarize yourself with the Zoom platform.
August 3: On August 3, all registered attendees will receive a list of the individuals attending from the property owners and management companies. You will have until August 7 to rank your list of the top 15 individuals you would like to meet with. Our team will work to pair you with your top choices.*
August 7: Please submit either one 1/2 page ad (7.5” wide x 4.8” tall) OR a brief paragraph about your products or services, including contact information and website. This will be used in the event booklet distributed to all pre-registered attendees prior to the event. Ads should be press-quality pdf or high resolution jpg files sized correctly. Ad OR paragraph should be emailed directly to email@example.com.
August 7: On August 3, GCNKAA will send you a Dropbox link to allow you to submit any promotional materials you wish to share with participating property owners and management companies. This link will be available through September 20. Please name file as follows: [Company Name] 2020 Business Exchange. All files must be submitted as a pdf and will be reviewed by GCNKAA. We reserve the right to publish or decline as deemed necessary.
August 12: Deadline to register for this event due to scheduling of meetings.
