Independent Rental Owners The National Apartment Association (NAA) defines an Independent Rental Owner (IRO) as a member that owns 200 units or less, and is actively involved, from ownership perspective, in the management of properties. Typically, these properties are defined as having a small number of rental units at any single location. These smaller-management sized properties generally require a unique property management style, as opposed to the management style used for properties of larger-sized companies.
GCNKAA values our independent members and strives to provide them the most complete offering of resources available. Many owners request to meet other Independent Owners with apartment industry knowledge. We provide round table meetings to discuss topics of interest to Independent Owners. We meet 5 times a year at our office in Kenwood. This is a great way to get to know one another.
