Fair Housing for Multi-Family Maintenance Professionals (2)

To provide an overview of fair housing rights and responsibilities for multifamily housing maintenance professionals that will challenge and prepare each participant to adequately address fair housing issues and concerns in today’s diverse consumer market.

Course Outcomes

  • Each participant will have a better understanding of local, state, and federal fair housing laws, including protected classes and prohibited conduct.
  • Each participant will be able to evaluate their own maintenance and record keeping processes to ensure compliance with fair housing laws.
  • Each participant will be able to distinguish routine maintenance requests from disability related requests and evaluate their own accommodation/modification request process.
  • Each participant will be able to describe best practices and where to go for additional resources and guidance.
