White House unveils Renters Bill of Rights

The White House has released plans to enact federal legislation implementing a Renters Bill of Rights. The plan is a multi-agency, long-term examination of many different aspects of rental housing and the landlord/tenant relationship. NAA has been actively engaged with The White House and will continue to work the issue with members of Congress, emphasizing that the industry opposes expanded federal involvement in the landlord/tenant relationship. GCNKAA will continue to monitor the situation. This will certainly be an issue during our Advocate visit to Capitol Hill in late March.
