2026 October General Membership Meeting: Elections

CANDIDATES FORUM
Hear directly from local candidates seeking elected office in our cities and municipalities. This forum will give candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves, discuss issues impacting our communities and the multifamily housing industry, and share their priorities for the future.

The Candidate’s Forum will be held in conjunction with GCNKAA’s annual elections for the Board of Directors and Associate Council, making this an important evening of both civic engagement and association leadership.

GCNKAA ELECTIONS
Vote for your leaders at the General Membership Meeting and Elections on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. This year, elections will be held in person at Cooper Creek Event Center beginning at 5:30 pm. 

For a list of candidates, download the Voter Guide (coming soon!) It is one vote per company and only Associate Members may vote for Associate Council and only Primary Members may vote for the Board of Directors.

Voting is available by proxy. Votes must be on letterhead with an authorized signature and received by GCNKAA by Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 12 pm. Votes can be emailed to michele@gcnkaa.org or mailed to the Apartment Association offices at 7265 Kenwood Road, Suite 100, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45236. Please remember, nominations will be accepted from the floor.

GUEST SPEAKER
Join us for guest speaker Chris Burns, NAA 2026 Chair-Elect and Senior Vice President with Willow Bridge Property Company. 

Chris Burns is Senior Vice President for Willow Bridge Property Company (formally Lincoln Property Company) and is responsible for all multi-family management operations and new business development throughout the eastern United States, representing a portfolio of over 120,000 units.  Mr. Burns has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of multi-family development and management. Mr. Burns joined Willow Bridge in 1992. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1982 and holds the CPM® designation through the institute of Real Estate Management. Mr. Burns also holds the designations of CAPS and CAM through the National Apartment Association.

 Mr. Burns is the Chair-elect of the National Apartment Association for 2026. He is also a Past Chairman and a member of the Florida Apartment Association Hall of Fame as well as a past Chairman of both the Atlanta and Georgia Apartment Associations.
